Elk

The lay of our country is big canyons, open ridges, heavy timber,
meadows, large burn areas and vast areas above timberline. In the early
season we are hunting native elk that have been in the area since
calving in the spring.
This is our rut season! Hunting in the bugling
season is very exciting. Later in the season we are hunting both the
native elk and the big bulls migrating from Yellowstone Park as they
move from the park to their winter grounds, our areas encompass main
migration trails.
You will not have to take the first bull you see. We are after mature bulls. You
will have an 80% to 100% success rate, with normally everyone
shooting. Anyone in decent shape and willing to hunt hard will go home
with a good bull. We have killed many bulls over the last several years
above 350“. You will hunt mostly from horseback. An
average shot on both elk and deer can vary from 50 to 400 yards. Our
guides are the best in the business and we do everything possible to make your hunt a successful one!
